Gender equity and empowerment

Friends of Health Initiative (FHI) advocates for gender equality by empowering women and men in underserved Rwandan communities. Through leadership programs, FHI builds confidence and skills in women and girls, fostering their potential for community leadership.

Economic empowerment initiatives provide both women and men, especially youth, with opportunities for entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and employability training, strengthening their economic resilience.

FHI also addresses gender-based violence by creating safe spaces, raising awareness, and supporting survivors. Programs focus on improving sexual and reproductive health and rights, ensuring that women and men alike have access to essential health resources and education.
