On June 12, 2025, Friends of Health Initiative (FHI) had the honor of welcoming Fiona Cooper from the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation for a special project site visit in Rulindo District.

FHI is running a one-year project that uses football to boost entrepreneurial awareness among out-of-school young people. The project helps them understand what entrepreneurship means while building resilience, confidence, and belief in their ability to succeed in business or employment.
The day began with a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) session at the FHI office, where Fiona shared valuable insights that strengthened the team’s learning and accountability. She then joined an official meeting with a district representative at Rulindo headquarters, reinforcing FHI’s collaboration with local leaders.

The most inspiring moment came at the football grounds, where Fiona interacted directly with the youth. Through sport, the young people proudly showcased their skills, dreams, and the confidence they are gaining to shape brighter futures.
